OnlyCrops AI is a Progressive Web App (PWA). This means you can install it on your phone just like an app from the App Store, but without the bulky download.
How to Install
On iPhone (iOS)
- Open Safari and go to
https://onlycrops.ai. - Tap the Share button (the square with an upward arrow) at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add in the top-right corner. The OnlyCrops icon will now appear on your home screen.
On Android
- Open Chrome and go to
https://onlycrops.ai. - Tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Tap Install App (or "Add to Home Screen").
- Follow the prompts to confirm. The app will now appear in your app drawer and home screen.
Mobile-Only Features
When used as an installed app, OnlyCrops AI unlocks special mobile features:
- Biometric Login: Use FaceID or Fingerprint to unlock your farm data instantly.
- Push Notifications: Receive real-time alerts for weather, tasks, and AI results.
- Full Screen Experience: No browser bars, giving you more space to manage your crops.
Using it Offline (In the Field)
Real farms often have poor internet. OnlyCrops AI is designed to work in these conditions:
What Works Offline:
- Capturing Photos: You can take plant health photos via Farm Vision while offline. The app will securely queue them on your device.
- Viewing Data: Most of your recently viewed crops, tasks, and transactions are cached and can be viewed without a connection.
What Requires Internet:
- AI Analysis: The AI requires a connection to "think." Any photos you take while offline will be processed automatically as soon as you return to an area with internet or Wi-Fi.
- AI Chat: Real-time chatting with the AI assistant requires an active connection.
- Weather Updates: Live weather data and maps require internet to fetch the latest forecasts.
Pro Tip: Syncing Your Queue
If you've taken photos while offline, go to the Farm Vision page once you're back on Wi-Fi and tap the Sync Queue button to ensure all your scans are sent to the AI for analysis.
